What if the Person You Liked, Liked You Back, But Came Off As A Jerk Becase He Has No Social Skills Whatsoever?

I like this person, and I guess he likes me back (I don't know, it could be a prank :P )
But here's the thing..
He's gifted.

Being gifted isn't bad, but people who are "gifted" tend to be less social than others.
The more gifted you are, the less social.

Hence why I'm pretty social.

Anyways, so I like this kid, and he's ehhh ok he's nice right?
Well he told me he likes me :P Welp then
And then...

In a chat.
He tells me.
He's playing video games.

This may be a "Whats so bad about that?" Type of thing for you.
But for me it's a "Well, I came here to talk to you, you came here because you're bored.
I think I like friends more than crushes.
I know he didn't mean to be rude, but it just was.
I rest my point.
